Parish Weekend is Coming Up!
SARA BOYLES
Today is the day to get your registration for the Parish Weekend to Linda or Joyce. It should be a great event. Holy Trinity has always played well together and we have not had the opportunity for a week end away for some time. The committee has been hard at work and a good agenda is lined up. I have heard that some of you are worried about not getting enough breathing room. Be assured that there are many free times built in and you, of course, can build in your own.
Such a week end is about much more than simply having a good time together. It is about working with one another, finding out how we knit as a community, talking about our community and its projects. The conversations we have often provide guidance for parish decisions and directions. It is about worship and play, prayer and planning. Laughter and tears always seem to be part as well. I have always taken my tent but I must admit it feels early to be sleeping out this season.
These times away can't be duplicated. The conversations can't be reproduced. The meals live on only in our memories. They should be especially good this year since we are making them together! So sign up folks, help make it a great success.
For those of you who really can't come, the services at Holy Trinity will proceed as usual. We ask you to support the celebrant and co-ordinator in every way you can. The organization is in place but we can't predict who will be on the ground to make the services inviting and rich.
