Refugee Committee

The Refugee Committee provides support to refugees entering Canada. Many of these sponsorships are partnerships with family members who are already established in Canada, and who usually agree to cover most costs. However, Holy Trinity bears full financial and legal responsibility if the family is unable to honour their obligation.

This past year was very busy with two large families arriving, one from Iran and one from Burundi. Holy Trinity assists these families with starting up life in Canada, and integration into their new communities and country.

An Annual Booksale is held each June to raise funds to support the work of the refugee committee. Donations of books may be dropped off at the church from Monday to Saturday, 11am-3pm.
